The middle school's Makerspace is off to a great start! Students pop into the relaxed recess option, slip into creative mode and come back again and again because they’ve found an activity they love.
Students can choose from art & crafts, engineering, digital art & design, and coding activities.
“The middle schoolers have been weaving on looms to create winter hats, crocheting, beading jewelry, doing mindful coloring, practicing for Lego League, tinkering with robotics, and coding,” said Instructional Technology Teaching Assistant Emily Bocklet, who runs the Makerspace. “Many of these activities supplement what they’ll be learning in Tech Ed class.”
